Home Remedies for Managing Dry and Flaky scalp

Ever did a beautiful style only to notice residue all over your hair as if you had not previously cleansed your hair? I used to suffer from Dry and Flaky scalp as well.

Here are my five favorite  household products to help combat this issue:

Baking soda- Diluted with water, it makes a great cleansing agent. This solution will give you squeaky-clean hair.  Because Baking soda stripes your hair, I only used it once a month.

Apple Cider vinegar– ACV rinses helps to restore the proper acid/alkaline balance to the scalp.  It also helps to seal your hair cuticles to aid in retaining the moisture after conditioning.

Aloe Vera juice– I like to dilute aloe Vera juice with water and add it to my spray bottle.  I use this solution almost daily when I am moisturizing and sealing my hair.

Coconut oil & Lemon Juice– these two products together make a Great Scalp treatment.   Adding Lemon Juice with your favorite oil and oiling your scalp before cleansing can help eliminate your dry and flaky scalp condition. The benefits of coconut oil are tremendous.  It also aids in giving a great sheen to the hair.  A great time to use this treatment is on days you do your hot oil treatments.   FYI. Because lemons are acidic, it can alter the color of your hair.
