I’m so excited about the new year. As a general rule, I don’t make resolutions. After almost 10 years of unsuccessfully “resolving” to gain weight – yes, you read that right – I gave up on the whole institution.
So instead I decide on a theme or motto for the year. In 2011, my personal motto was “Live and Let Live.” It was a very internal motto related to my mission to allow myself to become more of who I truly am, without imposing my principles on others. Essentially, living without fear of judgment while accepting others for who they are.
I also had a goal oriented motto – “Today is the day,” which was inspired by Dr. Seuss’ “Oh, The Places You’ll Go.”
I’m still deciding on my 2012 motto; I’m leaning towards striving for external goals. I will share more on that soon.
Onto my hair… I took lots of pictures while getting ready to go out last night. So I’ll post a tutorial soon.
