Ion Heat Protectant: Upcoming Review

Last week, I went to Sally’s to buy some hair pins and renewed my Sally’s membership card. As a gift for renewing my membership, I got a free heat protectant.

The sales woman offered me two options: Ion Straightening Solutions Heat Protectant or Silk Elements MegaSilk Heat Protectant.

I have never used either product and didn’t have much time to search online for reviews. So after a cursory glance at the ingredients, I decided to go with the Ion heat protectant.

Both products share the first few ingredients, but I know from experience that Silk Elements products tend to have a very floral scent, which I do not like. The sales rep said that I could return it and try the Silk Elements brands if I don’t like the Ion brand.

My current heat protectant is Nioxon Thermal Bliss, but sometimes it leaves my hair feeling hard and coated. So I’m hoping that one of these will yield better results. Stay tuned for my review.
