One of the biggest challenges I’ve had since my last relaxer is maintaining straight hair that does not look like Mufasa from the Lion King once I go outside. Enter Dark and Lovely’s Anti-Reversion Cream Serum. I tried this product weekly a few months ago and was happy with the results.
To use, apply a small amount to wet hair and blow dry then flat iron as usual. I used the serum two ways: 1) I skipped my usual post-wash products so that I could see how my hair responded to the serum alone and 2) I used the serum with my usual products. My hair responded well in both instances, so I opted to use my usual products with the serum.
The serum did a great job of making my hair feel soft and silky. My only critique is that my hair felt dry after a few days. But this is to be expected of any product that blocks out humidity. To combat the dryness, I used a little more moisturizer than usual. Overall, I liked the serum and would recommend it.
