I love shea butter for the wintertime. It is thick and heavy, which is perfect for sealing in my moisturizer. I completely forgot that I had some pure shea butter that I bought from coastalscents.com a couple of years ago. It occurred to me this week that it was still packed in a box. So I unpacked it and proceeded to slather it all over my hair and newgrowth.
To use the shea butter, I pulled off a small chunk.
Next, I vigorously rubbed my hands together.
Here is the melted shea butter, ready for use.
Shea butter leaves my hair feeling soft, moisturized and protected from the harsh winter winds. It has a light pleasant smell. I only use it in the wintertime because it is too heavy for the warmer months because it weighs my hair down.
