First I put Nexxus “Pro-Mend” all over the ends. Then I made parts with my fingers and thoroughly coated each section in Target’s “up&up aloe vera gel.” Now to actually do the twist, I just kept wrapping/twirling my hair around my finger to make the curl pattern pop. If you’re imagining hair wrapping around a curling iron, it’s not done that way. It’s a bit hard to describe, but perhaps one day I can be coerced into making a video to show how I did it. For the roots I added Herbal Essences “set me up gel” since it has more hold than the aloe vera, to help prevent them from being too puffy compared to the rest of the hair.
Total time was 3 hours, spread out over 3 days because my arms kept getting tired! I started at the back and worked my way front so that the front would still look fresh for school. I wore this for a week, and while it wasn’t fun to undo, it was worth the time spent because I literally did not have to worry about my hair the whole time it was like that. And it was easy to moisturize the ends, which always makes MsKibibi proud!
