I’m 12 weeks into my 16 weeks stretch and it has been an uneventful process so far. Uneventful is a good thing, because eventful usually means I had a setback.
I washed my hair yesterday and took some pictures of my damp new-growth. This was taken with aloe vera juice sprayed on my hair to help me detangle. I must confess that this summer I have been deferring to wearing loose buns and I’ve only flat ironed about three times in the past 3 months. I flat ironed my hair yesterday, because I’m attending a charity event on Friday.
I did my tension blow dry method and lightly blow dried my hair. But I decided to shower between blow drying and flat ironing and the steam ended up “reverting” my new growth. So my flat ironed hair looked poofy at the roots, but it had lots of body and movement. Sorry but today was so crazy I didn’t get to take pictures.
When I got home, I moisturized a little too heavily and I can already tell that my hair will be weighted down tomorrow. It was fun while it lasted.
